Describe a moment you can’t forget, capture its feeling, its impact, how it shaped your perspective, and why it still stays with you?
There was no reason for this memory to stay with me, yet it still stuck to me to till this day. It was during a time when my family was moving houses, the house was mostly empty and me and my brother were playing around. As children who aren't even 1st graders yet we recklessly ran around the house and then decided to hide into a closet with 3 ferrero rochers. We hid in there for a minute or so with the closet doors closed completely and when we attempted to open it, it was stuck. My younger self immediately panicked along with my brother, we tried to muster up all our force to forcefully open the closet, yet to…
One moment I can’t forget was performing on stage with my orchestra after weeks of exhausting practice. The second the music started, all my nervousness disappeared, and for the first time in a long while, I felt completely present and connected to everyone around me. Hearing the applause afterward made me realize how rewarding hard work can feel when shared with others. That memory still stays with me because it reminds me that some of the happiest moments come from pushing through self-doubt.
Up until today that particular image still lingers fresh in my memory and it will always remain so unforgettable for me. It was a hot summer night in New York, right after I’d stepped out of Broadway's Aladdin into the thick, humid air. In that moment, the entire city felt genuinely magical. Yellow cabs blurred past in the heavy traffic while open-top carriages wove through the streets, making the whole scene feel like a dream I never wanted to wake up from. It was that moment I was brought to life in some foreign world and for all I know, through all those anonymous people, just how vast and infinite life is outside our own tiny bubbles.
